Alana Westwood
Dr. Alana Westwood is a conservation biologist, writer, and science policy wonk based out of Halifax, NS. She completed her PhD in conservation biology at Dalhousie University in 2016, studying forest ecology and bird species at risk. She also works as Evidence for Democracy's research coordinator, promoting evidence-based decision-making in public policy through research and training for scientists. When not striving to advance science in public policy, she keeps busy with species at risk research and teaches botany. |
